My Story
Hi there. My name is Courtney Lancaster. After 13 years in nursing, I never imagined my career would lead me away from the bedside. But while working Neurology Stepdown, my struggles with autoimmune disorders made continuing in a physically demanding clinical role increasingly difficult. For me, finding another path wasn't just something I wanted—it became something I needed, not to mention the burnout was incredibly real.
What followed was a crash course in learning how to translate years of clinical experience into opportunities I never knew existed. I eventually made the transition into remote nursing and discovered an entire world of careers beyond the bedside.
I created The Career Pivot Playbook to make that path easier and clearer for the nurse standing where I once stood—knowing something has to change, but having no idea where to begin.
